“Seibles’ images are luminous—almost unbearably vivid—evocations of the world around us, past and present.”
—Martín Espada
Through precise language, striking and intimate images, a paradox of smart irony and disarming sincerity, and a persistant awareness of the pressure of economic and political realities, Seibles offers us a rich and memorable inquiry into life.
—Ellen Bass
“When the world grows nostalgic, he swings real. When the world tuns bitter, he stretches out his arms in verse. When the world tries to deny, he stares it in the face and tells the truth. Then asks it for a dance.”
—Cornelius Eady
